Bengaluru, India, January 19, 2024 – Today, the Honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, inaugurated two groundbreaking initiatives by Boeing that promise to transform the country's aviation landscape.

The first initiative, the Boeing India Engineering and Technology Centre (BIETC), is a state-of-the-art facility that will focus on aerospace research and development in India. The facility, which cost 1,600 crore (approximately $200 million), will create opportunities for collaboration between Boeing and Indian aerospace companies.

The second initiative, the Boeing Sukanya Programme for girls, aims to promote gender diversity in the aerospace industry. The program will provide scholarships and mentorship opportunities for girls who pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
