England to face Netherlands in UEFA Euro 2024 opener

England will face the Netherlands in their opening match of UEFA Euro 2024, it has been confirmed.
The Three Lions will take on the Dutch at the Allianz Arena in Munich on Wednesday 10 July 2024, with kick-off set for 20:00 BST.
It will be the first time that England have faced the Netherlands in a competitive fixture since the 2018 World Cup semi-final, which Gareth Southgate's side lost 3-1.
Southgate will be hoping for a better result this time around, as he looks to lead England to their first major trophy since 1966.
The Netherlands will be no easy opponents, however. They are the current UEFA Nations League champions and will be looking to make a strong start to their Euro 2024 campaign.
The match is sure to be a close and exciting affair, and it could have a big impact on the outcome of Group D.
England will also face Scotland and the Czech Republic in Group D. The top two teams from each group will progress to the knockout stages.
